Responsibilities:

Supervise laundry operations: Oversee the daily activities of the laundry facility, including assigning tasks, monitoring workflow, and ensuring timely completion of laundry tasks. Coordinate with staff to maintain an efficient operation and prioritize workload.

Perform laundry technician duties: Operate laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and folding machines. Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, uniforms, and other laundry items according to established procedures. Maintain quality control and inspect laundered items for cleanliness and appearance.

Equipment maintenance and repairs: Conduct routine maintenance on laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs. Coordinate with maintenance personnel for major repairs or replacements.

Inventory management: Monitor and manage inventory of laundry supplies, including detergents, fabric softeners, and cleaning agents. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure an adequate supply of materials. Keep records of inventory and place orders as needed.

Training and supervision: Train new laundry technicians on equipment operation, proper handling of laundry items, and safety procedures. Provide ongoing guidance and support to the team, promoting a positive and productive work environment. Address performance issues and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Safety and compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards in the laundry facility. Enforce proper handling and disposal of hazardous substances. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.

Recordkeeping and reporting: Maintain accurate records of laundry activities, including loads processed, inventory levels, maintenance and repairs, and any incidents or issues. Prepare reports on productivity, quality control, and other relevant metrics as required
