Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Cost Accountant to manage and analyze our cost structures within the Food & Beverage sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cost accounting principles and practices as they apply to the industry, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide insightful recommendations for cost control and profitability improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis: Analyze and track costs associated with food production, packaging, and distribution. Develop and maintain accurate cost data and perform variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with financial goals and business strategies. Provide insights and recommendations based on cost analysis to support financial planning.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including raw materials and finished goods. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system data.

Cost Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports and financial statements for management review. Present findings and insights to senior management to support decision-making.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Implement best practices in cost accounting and financial control.

Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry.
