Job Vacancy: Purchasing In-Charge
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all purchasing activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of quality products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and reliable delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best pricing and terms.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and operations teams to understand their requirements and ensure supplies meet their needs.
• Implement and monitor purchasing policies, procedures, and standards.
• Analyze market trends and keep up to date with product developments and changes.
• Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a plus.
