A reputed company is looking for Jr. Network Security Engineer.

A. Responsibilities:
1. Assist in monitoring and maintaining network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
2. Perform regular vulnerability assessments and security audits across the network and systems.
3. Respond to security incidents and alerts in a timely manner, following established protocols.
4. Assist in deploying, managing, and updating network security solutions such as VPNs, firewalls, and encryption tools.
5. Collaborate with senior security engineers to identify and mitigate security risks.
6. Conduct basic threat analysis and report on potential vulnerabilities.
7. Support in the creation and maintenance of security documentation, procedures, and policies.
8. Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend necessary upgrades to mitigate risks.
9. Assist with network security system configuration and implementation projects.
10. Participate in security awareness training initiatives.

B. Qualification & Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Fundamental knowledge of Networks & Protocols.
3. Understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs & encryption
4. Familiarity with network infrastructure and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
5. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
6. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Eagerness to learn and stay up-to-date with cybersecurity trends and technologies.
8. Experience with security tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, Kali Linux is a must.
9. Basic understanding of scripting languages (Python PowerShell
10. Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
11. Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, or CEH
