Job Description for Logistics coordinator:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Logistics and Handling:
• Supervise and direct the loading and unloading of materials and equipment at site.
• Allocate the tools, materials and spare parts to the assigned FS team leads at site.
• Ensure safe and proper handling and storing of materials, tools and spare parts
• Ensure timely calibration of tools and equipment required at site and maintain logs for the same.
• Communicate with logistics forwarders and clearing agencies for timely delivery of materials, tools, and spare parts.
2. Inventory Management:
• Maintain inventory levels and reorder tools / consumable materials / spare parts as needed.
• Upon completion of task to ensure that the tools are handed over / exported back to origin.

3. Material Storage and Organization:
• Plan and manage storage areas for materials, tools, and spare parts at site.
• Implement inventory management systems to track materials, tools, and spare parts.

4. Transportation and distribution:
• Coordinate transportation of materials to and from the site.
• Schedule and manage deliveries to meet outage timelines.
• Ensure proper distribution of materials, tools and spare parts and maintain logs for In / Out
• Monitor transportation and look into costs optimization options.
5. Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations in material handling and transportation activities including dangerous goods.
• Ensure compliance with environmental safety standards.

6. Documentation and reporting:
• Prepare export documentation for tools to be exported.
• Maintain records of materials, deliveries, and inventory in sound and efficient manner.
• Generate reports on logistics activities on weekly basis.

7. Problem Solving:
• Address logistical challenges and resolve issues that may arise during material handling and transportation.
• Identify and implement processes and strive for improvements.

8. Communication:
• Track and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments on regular basis for early arrival of materials / tools / parts to site to avoid any demurrage and idling time for FS team members.
• Maintain effective communication with FS personnel at site, Project Manager, Site team, logistics and procurement team and other relevant parties.
• Ensure timely and professional communication with stakeholders regarding status of delivery.
