Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Civil Laboratory In-Charge to manage and oversee our laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in soil investigation, concrete testing,Geotechnical investigation and asphalt testing. The role requires someone capable of handling a team, ensuring that all testing procedures are carried out accurately, safely, and according to relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Laboratory Management: Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring all equipment and testing materials are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Testing and Analysis: Conduct and supervise tests on soil, concrete, and asphalt samples to determine their properties and suitability for construction projects.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of laboratory technicians, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on laboratory testing results, presenting findings clearly and concisely for engineers and other project stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Training: Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a learning environment and enhancing team performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of [10] years of experience in laboratory testing, with hands-on knowledge of soil, concrete, and asphalt testing.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in laboratory testing equipment and methodologies.
• Leadership: Proven experience in managing or supervising a team.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to analyze test data and ensure precision and accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certifications: Any relevant certifications related to laboratory operations or civil engineering testing are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with advanced laboratory testing techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction materials and project management.
