Description

We urgently require a Contracts Engineer position for one of the Indian construction companies located at its Project Sites in Shuwaikh and Al-Shadadiyah.
Qualification:
1. B.E Civil Engineer with 10-15 years of experience with reputed Civil Contracting companies.
2. Min 8 years in the field of contract administration on large projects.
3. Knowledge & understanding of Contract & Arbitration Acts and Case Laws.
4. Proficiency in computer applications.

Role & responsibilities:
1. Review contract Agreements, Drawings, and BOQs and prepare project data sheet and risk Analysis.
2. Understand and analyze the complete scope of work, in terms of technical and contractual.
3. Preparation of project cost estimation, Master procurement schedules, and Cash flows, and monitoring revenue and cost against project schedule.
4. Ensuring compliance with all contractual & statutory requirements of the project till closure.
5. Ensuring proper recording at the site of delays in physical progress, invoice realization, variations & claims, time extension, etc., maintenance of such data at RO and review of the same.
6. Formulating claims for variations, price escalation, extension of time, compensation for extended stay, etc.
7. Reviewing key sub-contract work orders and advising on any potential adverse conditions.
8. Ensuring timely receipt of Practical Completion Certificate, closure of final bills & claims, return of contractual guarantees, receipt of Final Completion Certificate and contractual closure of the project in all respects.
9. Periodic contractual review of all projects in the region and management reporting through quarterly Project Execution Matrix and Project Closure reports.
10. Compiling backup documentation for any Dispute resolution/ Arbitration proceedings, in consultation with the regional head and Contracts Head at HO.
