Job Title: Procurement Assistant I Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are seeking a Procurement Assistant to support our Head of Procurement in ensuring smooth, efficient, and timely acquisition of materials and services. If you are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in procurement, we encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, and procurement-related documents.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of procurement documentation.
• Order raw materials and connections based on preliminary nesting.
• Develop logistics plans for material delivery and site transportation.
• Oversee the receiving of raw materials and coordinate with the Finance Department for timely payments.
• Maintain and update the supplier database, including contact details, pricing, and performance records.
• Assist in evaluating and verifying supplier credentials and documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers to monitor order statuses, track deliveries, and resolve any invoice or shipping issues.
• Maintain procurement records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
• Support procurement policy implementation and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with Operations and Production to ensure timely availability of materials and services.
• Identify and report opportunities for process improvements.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities, including supplier performance and cost tracking.
• Provide general administrative support to the Head of Procurement.
General Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years in procurement, supply chain, or administrative roles preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
