Job Title: Truck QA/QC Inspector
Department: Quality Assurance / Logistics

Job Purpose:
The Truck QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all trucks and related equipment comply with safety, quality, and operational standards before they are dispatched or used. This includes conducting thorough inspections, identifying any defects or non-conformities, and ensuring corrective actions are taken in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.
• Verify the condition and functionality of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and safety systems.
• Perform pre-delivery and post-maintenance quality checks.
• Maintain inspection records and reports for audit and compliance purposes.
• Report any non-conformities or safety hazards immediately and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with workshop teams and maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure trucks meet internal and external regulatory standards (e.g., roadworthiness, emission controls, load limits).
• Conduct visual and physical inspections on tires, lights, fluid levels, brakes, and other safety-critical components.
• Support accident investigations and root cause analysis related to equipment failure.
• Ensure tools and inspection equipment are calibrated and maintained.
• Participate in regular QA/QC meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training or guidance to drivers and operators regarding inspection protocols if required.

Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma or technical certification in mechanical or automotive engineering (diploma or higher preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in vehicle inspection, preferably in heavy-duty or commercial trucks.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and safety standards.
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards or equivalent QA/QC systems.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, inspection software).
