Linux administrator
Extensive experience in administering Linux systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu,) for at least 10 years.
In-depth knowledge of Linux system architecture, file systems, and kernel management.
Proficient in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Linux servers (physical and virtual) in production environments.
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for system configuration and management. Strong knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Python) for task automation and system administration. Expert in managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings (including SELinux and AppArmor). Familiar with system monitoring and logging tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Syslog, and Log rotate for proactive troubleshooting and system health checks.

Experience in configuring and managing web servers (Apache, Nginx, etc.), including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including IP routing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configuration on Linux systems.
Experience with storage management (LVM, RAID, NFS, iSCSI) and backup strategies on Linux environments.
Proficient in patch management and Linux security updates, including vulnerability assessments and applying best practices for hardening systems.
Familiar with cloud-based Linux environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with an understanding of cloud- specific tools and configurations.
Hands-on experience in setting up and managing virtualization tools such as KVM.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to CPU, memory, disk, and network on Linux systems.
Knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery setups in Linux environments, including clustering and failover configurations.
