We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry & Bakery Sous Chef to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality bakery and dessert items. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bakery and pastry production, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and inspire a team. This role requires both hands-on production and leadership skills to ensure consistency, quality, and innovation in our pastry and bakery offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in planning, developing, and executing pastry and bakery menus.

Supervise daily operations of the pastry and bakery section, ensuring production meets quality and presentation standards.

Lead and train a team of pastry cooks, bakers, and helpers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Oversee the preparation of bread, viennoiserie, cakes, tarts, mousses, chocolates, and plated desserts.

Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards as per HACCP and company policy.

Monitor inventory levels, place orders for ingredients, and manage wastage effectively.

Innovate and develop new dessert and bakery concepts in line with trends and seasonal themes.

Maintain proper documentation of recipes, production logs, and temperature control records.

Assist in cost control, menu engineering, and standard recipe costing.

Participate in special events, functions, and seasonal promotions as required.

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in bakery and pastry production, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or sous chef role.
