We are seeking a skilled IT System Administrator & Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The IT System Administrator & Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing our IT systems, networks, and servers while providing technical support to end-users. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Administration:
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure (Windows environments).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, and data backup systems.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory)
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, processes, and configurations.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with onboarding new employees, including setting up workstations, accounts, and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Train end-users on software applications and IT best practices as needed.
• Network & Security Management:
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Ensure network security by implementing and monitoring firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in IT system administration and/or technical support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Experience with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
