Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Security Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in the oil and gas industry to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Commission and configure integrated electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and fiber-optic systems in oil & gas sites (onshore/offshore).
• Conduct functional and acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) of security systems ensuring system reliability and compliance with HSE and cybersecurity guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, HSE, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of security systems within live operational environments.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site and technical teams.
• Provide technical support during all phases of project implementation, from installation to handover.
• Ensure compliance with oil & gas safety protocols, including site-specific work permit systems and hazardous area classifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including test reports, punch lists, and redline drawings.
• Train end-users, control room operators, and security staff on system usage and best practices.
• Stay current with the latest security technology trends and compliance requirements specific to industrial and energy sectors.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience within the oil & gas sector.
• PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Security Commissioning Engineer, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Experience with security systems from major brands (e.g., Honeywell, Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, Sen star, FFT, Avigilon, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of security integration with SCADA, DCS, and fire & gas systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-risk operational environments.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Lenel, Milestone VMS, or vendor-specific training).
• Familiarity with IEC, NFPA, and API standards.
• Valid Kuwait driving license.
• Willingness to travel to remote project sites and work in demanding conditions when required.
