Job Title: Quality Control & Assurance Officer – Coffee Division
Job Purpose

To ensure the highest quality standards across the coffee production process, from sourcing beans to roasting, packaging, and final delivery, while maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control in Coffee Production:

Inspect green coffee beans upon arrival for defects, moisture levels, and quality grading.

Monitor roasting profiles to ensure consistency in flavor, aroma, and color.

Conduct cupping sessions to evaluate taste quality and maintain flavor standards.

Process Monitoring & Compliance:

Oversee hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in roasting and packaging areas.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and local food safety regulations.

Maintain calibration of equipment used in quality testing.

Documentation & Reporting:

Develop and maintain quality checklists and SOPs for all production stages.

Record inspection results and report deviations with corrective actions.

Prepare regular quality reports for management review.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.

Train staff on quality standards, food safety, and best practices in coffee handling.

Work closely with the roasting and operations team to troubleshoot issues.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Quality Management, or related field.

2–4 years of experience in quality control, preferably in food & beverage or coffee industry.

Knowledge of coffee grading, roasting, and cupping is a strong plus.

Familiarity with HACCP, ISO 22000, or similar food safety standards.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and reporting abilities.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

Consistency in coffee taste and quality (measured by cupping scores).

Compliance with food safety audits and zero non-conformance findings.

Percentage of batches passing QC on first inspection.

Reduction in customer complaints related to product quality.
