Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant to manage and oversee all accounting functions for our farming projects in Canada. The role requires strong expertise in financial reporting, cost control, and compliance, along with the ability to support management in decision-making through accurate financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
Monitor project costs, budgets, and ensure accurate allocation of expenses.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
Conduct periodic audits, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Coordinate with project managers and senior management for financial planning and control.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
Prior experience in construction / building material industry is mandatory.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
