Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Architect to design and maintain the Bank's security architecture covering applications, infrastructure, and cloud. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of enterprise security architecture design, frameworks, and standards, with expertise in network, application, and cloud security.

1. Key Responsibilities
• Design and maintain the Bank’s security architecture covering applications, infrastructure, and cloud.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST standards.
• Define, document, and maintain security architecture blueprints, policy frameworks, and compliance checklists.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging security technologies and solutions to enhance cyber resilience.
• Align all architectural activities with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards, governance models, and strategic IT objectives.
• Maintain and update the architecture repository using ALFABET, ensuring traceability and version control.
• Support regulatory audits and ensure compliance with CBK (Central Bank of Kuwait), CMA, and internal policies.
• Provide technical leadership to IT and cybersecurity teams on architecture-related decisions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate secure design principles into new and existing systems.
• Produce security risk, compliance, and performance reports as per SLA timelines.

2. Required Skills & Expertise
• Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture design, frameworks, and standards.
• Expertise in network, application, and cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with:
o Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
o SIEM, DLP, and IAM solutions
o Security orchestration and automation tools
• Solid grasp of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Deep knowledge of IT risk management, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment.
• Familiarity with ALFABET or similar EA tools for architectural governance.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.



3. Qualifications & Certifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline.
• Mandatory Certifications:
o CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
o CISM – Certified Information Security Manager
o TOGAF – Certified Enterprise Architect
• Preferred Additional Certifications:
o CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
o CompTIA Security+
o ISO 27001 Lead Implementer

4. Experience
• Minimum 8 years of progressive IT security experience.
• At least 3 years in a dedicated Security Architect or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven experience in banking or financial services environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and govern enterprise-level security architectures.
• Experience working under Managed Services or SLA-driven engagements.
