Description

We are hiring Fiber Civil Supervisor.

Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate fiber optic cable laying activities (underground, duct, aerial, and building entry works).
• Ensure installation is carried out as per approved drawings, PIP, MOC/KIPIC standards, and project specifications.
• Monitor daily site progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Conduct site inspections before, during, and after installation.
• Oversee trenching, duct laying, backfilling, manhole installation, and cable pulling operations.
• Supervise fiber splicing, termination, joint closure, and patch panel installation.
• Ensure OTDR testing, power meter testing, and continuity testing are properly conducted.
• Verify labeling, tagging, and documentation of fiber cores.
• Coordination with Main / Sub Contractor Civil contractor, MOC representatives
• Attend site meetings and provide technical updates.
• Ensure work permits and approvals are secured before execution.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait Ministry of Communications (MOC) regulations.
• Enforce HSE policies and site safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and safe cable handling practices.
• Prepare daily progress reports.
• Maintain material consumption records.
• Track manpower deployment and productivity.
• Submit as-built drawings and test reports.
• Report delays (e.g., construction conflicts, cable damage) with corrective action plans.
Qualifications
• Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in fiber optic installation in Kuwait.
• Familiarity with MOC and refinery site requirements.
