Vacancy for Welders, Fabricators, Fitters

Fabricators

Job Id :100192304

Description

Welder Responsibilities
Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols (WPS)
Perform welding using processes like SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and/or FCAW on carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy materials
Set up and operate welding equipment; select correct electrodes/filler material
Weld structural steel components — beams, plates, pipes, brackets — per specifications
Inspect welds for defects (porosity, cracks, undercutting) and grind/rework as needed
Follow safety protocols (PPE, fire prevention, ventilation in confined spaces)
Maintain welding equipment and work area

Welder Qualifications
Welder qualification/certification (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, or equivalent) is often preferred
2–5+ years of hands-on experience, ideally in structural steel or oil & gas fabrication
Ability to read technical drawings and weld symbols
Physically fit, able to work in various positions (overhead, vertical, confined spaces)

Fabricator Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specs
Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using tools like plasma cutters, shears, press brakes, and grinders
Measure and mark materials for cutting/bending to precise tolerances
Assemble/tack-weld components before final welding
Ensure fabricated parts meet dimensional and quality standards
Work with structural steel, sheet metal, or pipe fabrication depending on project

Fabricator Qualifications
Trade certificate in metal fabrication or mechanical trade
Experience with fabrication tools and equipment (cutting, bending, shaping machinery)
Strong understanding of technical/shop drawings
2–5+ years relevant fabrication experience, structural steel background a plus
Attention to detail and precision measurement skills

Fitter Responsibilities
Align, position, and fit structural steel components (beams, columns, plates, pipes) prior to welding
Read and interpret isometric/fabrication drawings to ensure correct fit-up
Use fitting tools (clamps, levels, squares, measuring tools) to ensure accuracy and alignment
Tack-weld pieces in place for the welder to complete
Check dimensional tolerances, angles, and alignment against drawings
Coordinate with welders and fabricators on assembly sequence

Fitter Qualifications
Trade certificate/diploma in fitting, mechanical, or structural steel fitting
Strong blueprint-reading ability, especially isometric and fabrication drawings
2–5+ years of fitting experience, structural or pipe fitting background preferred
Knowledge of tolerances, alignment techniques, and fit-up standards
Good spatial/mechanical aptitude
