Generator / Diesel Mechanic & Heavy Driver
We are looking for experienced Generator / Diesel Mechanics with the following qualifications and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
 Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators of various capacities (e.g., 30 KVA to 2000 KVA).
 Perform inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
 Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
 Conduct routine inspections, servicing, lubrication, and filter replacement.
 Repair and overhaul diesel engines, alternators, radiators, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
 Troubleshoot starting, charging, governor, and voltage regulation issues.
 Test generator performance under load and ensure stable voltage and frequency.
 Install, commission, and decommission generator sets.
 Maintain battery systems, chargers, control panels, and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) systems.
 Replace defective components including injectors, fuel pumps, turbochargers, belts, hoses, and sensors.
 Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and spare parts inventory.
 Respond to emergency generator breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
 Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety procedures.
 Coordinate with operations teams to schedule maintenance activities.
 Maintain housekeeping standards in the workshop and at project sites.
Skills Required:
 Knowledge of diesel engines and alternators.
 Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
 Experience with Perkins, Cummins, Caterpillar, FG Wilson, Atlas Copco, Volvo Penta, MTU, or similar generator brands.
 Familiarity with engine control modules (ECM) and diagnostic tools.
 Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
 Ability to work independently and under pressure during emergency breakdowns.
 Commitment to workplace safety and preventive maintenance.
 Minimum 5-8 Years’ Experience with valid Kuwaiti Driving License
 Candidate should be inside Kuwait and must have valid residency Visa 18 with Local transfer.
