We are seeking experienced Safety Officers committed to maintaining safe working environments and ensuring compliance with HSE requirements. Oil & Gas or industrial project experience will be highly regarded.

SUMMARY:
1. Safety Officer shall ensure implementation and adherence of the Contractor and its
personnel to all required Company HSE policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Safety Officer shall Conduct regular HSE inspection and HSE audit to ensure KOC HSSE procedure requirements are met.
2. Recommend corrective actions to address any non-compliance issues.
3. Conduct regular safety meeting with employees and management to improve HSE performance
4. Communicate HSE policies and procedures to all employees and organize and conduct necessary HSE training/awareness programs
5. Investigate incidents and prepare incident reports
6. Support project management in the preparation of JSA, Task risk assessment, Monthly HSE report, Fall protection plan and other relevant HSE documents
7. Conduct regular emergency drills to ensure preparedness.
8. Maintain relevant HSE data for analysis and performance improvement
9. Lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
10. Perform musculoskeletal screening evaluations for identified employees whose jobs involves multiple MSD risk factors on site.
11. Support in carrying out risk assessment of ergonomics and manual handling activities.
12. Identify ergonomic and manual handling of loads hazards in workplace and incorporate the same in the respective Occupational Health Risk Register from time to time.

JOB KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:
1. Bachelor’s degree in science or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized and reputed university with minimum 5 years’ experience as HSE personnel in the relevant field.
2. Successfully completed one or more certified HSE course(s) in any category of training in General Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, Industrial Hygiene, ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH.
3. Successfully completed First Aider certification as per KOC.HE.004.
4. Underwent ergonomic Training program.
5. Must have valid Kuwaiti Driving License.
6. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
