Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, security, and performance of servers, networks, operating systems, and business-critical applications while providing technical support to internal users. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user account administration.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure maximum up time.
• Perform regular server maintenance, updates, and patch management.
• Configure and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and cloud-based services.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions and perform regular recovery testing.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and network devices.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint protection, access controls, and vulnerability management.
• Investigate and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Support the deployment of new hardware, software, and IT infrastructure projects.
• Monitor system logs and proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and improve IT services.
• Provide second- and third-level technical support to end users when required.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and emergency support when necessary.
Required Qualifications
• B. Tech / MCA / Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with endpoint security, antivirus, and firewall management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is an advantage.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
