Loader Operator – Concrete Factory Job Description

Job Title: Loader Operator
Department: Production / Operations
Industry: Precast / Ready-Mix Concrete Factory
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager

Job Summary

The Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a wheel loader to load, transport, and feed raw materials such as aggregates, sand, gravel, and other materials into the concrete batching plant. The operator must ensure continuous material supply while following safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities
Operate wheel loader safely and efficiently within the concrete factory/plant.
Load aggregates, sand, gravel, and other raw materials into designated storage bins or hoppers.
Transfer materials between stockpiles and the batching plant as required.
Maintain proper stockpile organization and prevent contamination between different materials.
Monitor material levels and ensure continuous supply to the batching plant.
Conduct daily pre-start inspections of the loader, including tires, brakes, lights, hydraulic system, engine oil, coolant, and other safety components.
Report equipment defects, breakdowns, or abnormal conditions to the supervisor immediately.
Carry out basic routine maintenance and cleaning of the loader as required.
Follow the plant's traffic management, safety, and environmental procedures.
Maintain safe operating distances from workers, vehicles, equipment, and structures.
Minimize material spillage and maintain a clean working area.
Follow instructions from the batching plant operator and production supervisor.
Record equipment operating hours, fuel consumption, and maintenance requirements where applicable.
Comply with company policies, PPE requirements, and occupational health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Loader Operator, preferably in a concrete, precast, quarry, or construction environment.
Valid heavy equipment/loader operator license or certification as required by local regulations.
Good knowledge of wheel loader operation and basic equipment maintenance.
Ability to work in a dusty, outdoor industrial environment.
Physically fit and capable of working shifts and overtime when required.
Safety-conscious with good awareness of surrounding personnel and equipment.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a production team.
Preferred Experience

2–5 years of experience operating wheel loaders in a concrete batching plant, precast factory, quarry, or construction material facility.
