Description

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team and support the design and manufacturing of LV/MV switchgear and control panels.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, GA layouts, and 3-phase wiring diagrams.
• Prepare production-ready electrical and structural drawings.
• Develop accurate BOMs, terminal charts, and manufacturing packages.
• Perform power calculations and related technical analysis.
• Review and modify drafts to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Resolve technical, wiring, and component layout issues during manufacturing and assembly.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC/BS standards, local utility requirements, and consultant specifications.
• Support the estimation/bidding team with technical inputs, including panel dimensions, busbar requirements, and component feasibility.
• Prepare and submit technical drawings and address consultant comments until approval.

🔹 Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical switchboard/switchgear manufacturing, particularly LV switchgear.
• Strong experience in AutoCAD and electrical design documentation.
• Practical experience preparing GA layouts, schematics, control wiring, BOMs, and terminal diagrams.
• Strong understanding of IEC, BS, and other relevant international standards.
• Experience with Oil & Gas projects is required.
• Familiarity with KOC/KNPC procedures, documentation, calculations, and drawing preparation is highly preferred.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills
