🚀 We're Hiring: Instrument Engineer
Join our Drilling & Completion Fluids (DCF) and Petrophysical Testing (PT) Laboratory and take ownership of the instrumentation that keeps critical drilling fluids testing accurate and reliable. If you're a hands-on engineer who thrives on precision, troubleshooting, and technical ownership, this role is for you.
🔹 Experience: 5-8 years
🔹 Background: Oil & Gas / Laboratory Instrumentation / Calibration & Maintenance
🔹 Education: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline
About the Role
Our laboratory relies on specialized equipment, including HPHT viscometers, HPHT filter presses, Fann and OFITE viscometers, emulsion stability meters, retorts, mud balances, particle size analyzers, pH meters, mixers, and pressure equipment. As Instrument Engineer, you'll take full technical ownership of this equipment ecosystem, ensuring it's always calibrated, maintained, and ready to perform.
What You'll Do
✅ Plan and manage preventive maintenance and calibration schedules
✅ Troubleshoot equipment issues across electrical, electronic, mechanical, and instrumentation systems
✅ Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and external service providers
✅ Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment
✅ Maintain calibration certificates, service records, and equipment history
✅ Identify critical spares and support effective spare-parts planning
✅ Provide technical recommendations on repair, refurbishment, or replacement
✅ Support laboratory audits with complete, up-to-date equipment documentation
