Job description:

The Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable oversees the full-cycle accounts payable function, manages high-volume vendor transactions, ensures accurate general ledger postings, and leads reconciliation and month-end close activities for AP. This role also mentors junior accounting staff and enforces internal controls. Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare financial reports and variance analyses.
Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies.
Prepare and review balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
Analyze expenses, revenues, and financial performance and provide management with insights.
Prepare forecasts, budgets, and financial projections.
Manage vendor accounts and resolve complex billing and payment discrepancies.
Coordinate annual audits, prepare supporting schedules, and assist with financial statements and audit queries.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and compliance issues.
Review and support the work of junior accountants and maintain accurate accounting records.
Qualifications

5-6 years of professional accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
CMA and ACCA preferred
Strong financial analysis skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and stress management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
