Description

MAJOR ROLE:
• Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of plant electrical equipment inside plant and administration building.
• Troubleshooting & repairing electrical equipment to ensure electrical systems are safe, and are running with utmost efficiency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Install, maintain and repair electrical, electro-mechanical and electronic parts of machinery and equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance.
• Troubleshoot & Perform defensive repair and preservation of field, plant and shop for electronic and electrical systems, equipment and devices following regulations and international standards on wiring and installations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations.
• Communicate appropriately with the operators, mechanics, other electricians, engineers, supervisors and Plant leadership.
• Demonstrate the initiative to investigate and offer improvements to our plant operation
• Service, clean, and inspect equipment periodically following established PMs (Preventative Maintenance)
• Install improvements and major upgrades to electrical plant and subsystems.
• Prepare schedules and coordinate activities with varied electrical divisions and sections.
• Plan and prepare work orders or instructions utilizing blueprints, sketches and drawings.
Qualifications and requirements:
• Technical qualification/certification in Electrical maintenance
• 5-8 year’s work experience as an industrial electrical technician.
• Sound knowledge of industry-specific plant equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
