Description

The HR Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing various human resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws. This role ensures the effective implementation of HR strategies to foster a positive work culture and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:
Manage the recruitment process from job posting to interviewing and hiring.
Collaborate with department heads to determine staffing needs.
Conduct background checks and onboarding for new employees.

Employee Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns or grievances.
Promote a positive organizational culture, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
Manage conflict resolution and facilitate disciplinary actions when necessary.

Performance Management:
Implement performance evaluation systems.
Support managers in setting employee performance goals and conducting reviews.
Address performance issues and implement improvement plans.

Training & Development:
Identify training needs and design or organize programs to address skill gaps.
Coordinate internal and external training sessions.
Promote career development opportunities for employees.

Compliance & Legal:
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations (e.g., employment contracts, worker rights, and health and safety).
Maintain HR records and employee data in accordance with legal standards.
Advise management on legal implications of HR policies and practices.

HR Administration:
Prepare and maintain HR-related documentation (contracts, policies, performance reviews, etc.).
Monitor employee attendance and ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist in developing HR policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as an HR officer, HR coordinator, or similar HR role.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and confidentiality.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with HR software and MS Office Suite.
