Fire protection supervisor or technician Job

A Fire protection & Alarm supervisor or technicians responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire protection & alarm systems in various settings, such as residential buildings, commercial complexes, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties
1. Install and program fire alarm systems according to specifications
2. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure proper functioning of fire suppression & fire alarm systems.
3. Identify and troubleshoot problems in fire suppression & fire alarm systems and resolve them promptly
4. Perform routine maintenance of fire suppression & fire alarm systems, including checking batteries
5. Upgrade fire alarm systems to meet new technological and safety standards
6. Collaborate with other fire suppression technicians, electricians, and engineers on installation and repair projects
7. Provide training to building occupants on fire safety procedures and operation of fire alarm systems
8. Prepare reports on installation, maintenance, and repair work performed on fire alarm systems

Qualifications and Skills
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Fire suppression or Fire Alarm Certification or equivalent
3. Minimum of 2 years related work experience
4. Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing Fire suppression or fire alarm systems
5. Knowledge of local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
7. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
