About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
• Compare and negotiate supplier offers, prices, and contract terms.
• Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of all orders and procurement activities.
• Conduct market research to identify new trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and budget guidelines.
Requirements and Skills
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing and evaluation practices.
• Hands-on experience with purchasing or ERP software.
• Good understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
