Supply Chain Demand Planner (FMCG) – Job Brief
The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting product demand to ensure optimal inventory levels, high product availability, and minimal waste in a fast-moving consumer goods environment. The role collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to align demand plans with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and promotional plans.
Work closely with Sales and Marketing to incorporate campaigns, promotions, and new product launches into forecasts.
Monitor forecast accuracy and KPIs and continuously improve demand planning models.
Support the S&OP process by providing insights, analysis, and demand scenarios.
Coordinate with supply planning and procurement to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock and stock-outs.
Analyze demand variances and recommend corrective actions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in demand planning or supply chain, preferably within an FMCG environment.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and demand planning tools.
Strong communication and cross-functional skills
