Description

• Proficient in commissioning, parameter tuning, and troubleshooting of various intelligent transmitters (e.g., Rosemount, E+H), control valves (e.g., Fisher, SAMSON), flowmeter calibration, and various types of probes/sensors.

• Skilled in operating handheld communicators with mainstream communication protocols such as HART, FF, and Profibus.

• Able to read and interpret P&ID drawings, interlock logic diagrams, and instrument installation detail drawings.

• Capable of leading an instrument team in maintenance, operation, and commissioning work.

• Experience in PLC programming or fault diagnosis (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley).

• Holding an Intrinsic Safety (IS) certificate or high-voltage / special equipment operation permit.

• Experience in oil & gas fields, chemical plants, or onshore/offshore terminal processing facilities.

• Background in overseas projects or foreign engineering companies.

• Lead, motivate, and support Instrument department team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution.

• Familiarize the team with the company and client needs, specifications, design targets, development process, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance.

• Optimize the equipment efficiency by close observations & proactive corrective maintenance, partner with Maintenance teams to improve equipment and systems availability and serviceability.

• Familiar with Commercial and Contracts activities

• Perform root cause failure analysis (RCA) to find out the actual cause and prevent further failures.

• Coordinate with different departments.

• Fluent in English listening, speaking, reading and writing.

• Handle English technical documents fluently (operation manuals, data sheets, international standards).

• Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing.

• Capable of writing daily and weekly reports in English and conducting general technical exchanges with foreign supervisors or vendors.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation from accredited University.

Major in Automation, Control Technology, or a related field.

Exposure to/Years of experience:

• 12+ years of instrument-related experience, with at least 5 years in project construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.

• Experience in maintenance field instruments + DCS control systems in O&G field is mandatory

• Experience in Oil & Gas process plant with Sour Gas Treatment/SRU/EPF is advantage.

• KOC-JPF/EPF working experience will be given weightage.
