Procurement & Supplier Management
• Manage the complete procurement cycle from requirement planning to purchase order placement and delivery.
• Source, evaluate, and develop reliable local and overseas suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, freight terms and other commercial conditions.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations and prepare commercial evaluations.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely supplier confirmation.
• Follow up on outstanding orders, production schedules, shipments, and deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, lead times, quality, and service levels.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
Tailoring Workshop Supervision
• Supervise and monitor the day-to-day operations of the tailoring workshop.
• Assign daily and monthly tasks to tailors based on workload, priorities, and required completion dates.
• Monitor the progress of each job order and follow up with tailors to ensure work is completed within the required timeline.
• Ensure all completed tailoring jobs are properly checked for quality, accuracy, measurements, finishing, and workmanship before delivery.
• Ensure every job order is properly updated and closed in the system once the work is completed.
• Maintain accurate records of pending, completed, and delayed job orders in the system.
• Monitor tailor productivity and ensure assigned daily and monthly targets are achieved.
• Identify delays or pending jobs and take corrective action to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with relevant departments regarding new job orders, urgent requirements, alterations, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor the availability and proper usage of fabrics, threads, accessories, and other tailoring materials.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, tools, and workshop resources.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workshop performance reports, including completed jobs, pending jobs, productivity, and outstanding work.
Inventory Planning & Stock Control – Key Responsibility
• Maintain optimum stock-in-hand levels for all assigned product categories/SKUs.
• Monitor inventory on a weekly/monthly basis and identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving items.
• Establish and regularly review Minimum Stock Level, Maximum Stock Level, Safety Stock, Reorder Level, Reorder Point, and Reorder Quantity for each SKU.
• Calculate replenishment requirements based on sales history, current stock, upcoming orders, lead time, seasonality, and market demand.
• Ensure purchase orders are placed before stock reaches the Reorder Point to avoid stock-outs.
• Determine appropriate Reorder Quantity based on demand, supplier MOQ, lead time, container utilization, available warehouse capacity, and commercial terms.
• Prepare regular stock and replenishment reports highlighting items requiring immediate purchase.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Management to ensure procurement plans are aligned with actual and forecasted demand.
• Monitor incoming stock and available stock to determine the actual replenishment requirement.
• Identify excess, ageing, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate action.
• Avoid both overstocking and stock shortages through effective inventory planning and forecasting.
• Review upcoming sales requirements and seasonal demand and plan procurement accordingly.
• Maintain accurate procurement and inventory data in the ERP system.
• Ensure all procurement decisions are supported by proper stock and demand analysis.
Objective
Ensure the right product, right quantity, right time, right supplier, and right cost, while maintaining healthy inventory levels and ensuring efficient workshop operations and timely completion of all job orders.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Experience in trading, retail, or textiles business is preferred.
• Experience in inventory planning, stock control, and replenishment is essential.
• Experience in workshop/job-order coordination, preferably in a tailoring or textile environment, will be an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
• Good understanding of inventory planning, replenishment, and stock-control principles.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work with different departments.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Candidates currently available in Kuwait are preferred.
