Job Title: Assistant Production Manager – Distribution Transformer Assembly

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Assistant Production Manager – Distribution Transformer Assembly to join our team.

Qualification: BE in Electrical Engineering

Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in the Distribution Transformer Manufacturing Industry, covering both oil-type and dry-type transformers, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

- Thorough knowledge of distribution transformer manufacturing processes for both oil-type and dry-type transformers.
- Expertise in different coil winding techniques and the ability to read and interpret winding drawings.
- Familiarity with core lamination cutting, stacking, and core and coil assembly processes.
- Knowledge of vacuum drying plant operations and transformer drying procedures.
- Understanding of transformer assembly procedures, safety standards, and relevant assembly tools and instruments.
- Experience in vacuum casting plants for cast-resin transformers will be an added advantage.
- Ability to assist the Production Manager in leading and coordinating 3–4 Engineers and approximately 200 technicians involved in distribution transformer assembly.
- Strong leadership, delegation, manpower planning, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work orders and different product types simultaneously.
- Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly assembly plans to ensure production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve production issues.
- Maintain shop-floor discipline, implement 5S principles, and ensure proper housekeeping and a clean, safe assembly environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
