Description

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

Minimum 5 years of relevant site QC experience preferred

Strong experience in concrete inspection and prestressed concrete construction – essential

Concrete Inspection Experience

Reinforcement, formwork and embedded items inspection

Concrete placement, vibration, curing and finishing

Slump, temperature, air content and concrete sampling

Verification of concrete delivery tickets and approved mix designs

Compliance with project specifications

Precast concrete inspection experience is an advantage

Prestressed Concrete Experience

Pretensioned and post-tensioned concrete elements

Prestressing strands, tendons, anchorages and ducts

Witnessing stressing operations

Verification of jacking forces and tendon elongation

Tendon profiles, anchorage arrangements and grouting

Stressing records and approved calculations

Concrete strength verification before stressing/release

Prestressing equipment calibration and approved procedures

QC & Documentation

Review of drawings, Method Statements, ITPs and specifications

Inspection Requests and Material Inspection Reports

Daily inspection records

NCR preparation and corrective action follow-up

Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, BS EN and project standards

Coordination with engineers, laboratories, consultants and clients

Additional Requirements

Preference: Candidates with experience in major infrastructure/construction projects and strong site/laboratory QC knowledge.
