Description

We company involved in the supply's pipes, valves, flanges, fasteners, spare parts and instrumentation to major oil & gas clients in Kuwait and the GCC. We are restructuring and growing, and we are looking for a COO to run the company day to day.

The role

You will report directly to the Chairman/CEO and run the whole business, from winning an order to delivery and payment. You will lead three functions:

Commercial: business development, tendering, costing, negotiation and contract signing
Execution: procurement, logistics and customs, QC, delivery and material acceptance
Support: Cost control and administration.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the three department heads, and set clear targets and KPIs for each
Make sure every order moves smoothly from signed PO to delivery and invoice, on time and on margin
Control costs and protect margins on every PO and contract
Reduce delivery delays, penalties and collection problems
Build processes, approval limits and reporting so the company does not depend on one person
Drive full use of Odoo ERP across all departments.
Manage key client relationships together with the CEO
Hire, develop and hold accountable managers and team leaders
Report monthly to the CEO on performance, risks and cash

Requirements

15+ years in industrial supply, trading or contracting, with at least 5 years in a senior operations or general management role
Strong experience with oil & gas clients in Kuwait (KNPC, KOC, KIPIC or similar) and with tender and PO processes
Good understanding of procurement, logistics, customs and cost control
Hands-on experience with an ERP system (Odoo is a strong advantage)
Proven record of building teams and improving processes
Strong negotiation and communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
Valid Kuwait residency and driving license, or the ability to transfer, is preferred
