Description

A leading communications company in Kuwait is looking for a Software Engineer to do the following for 1 month:

1. Scope of Services
1.1 Firmware Upgrade
• Perform firmware upgrades for Dell and HP servers at designated locations.
1.2 Site Locations
• MOI
• MOD
• KFF
Note: Access will be arranged by our company, Engineer should have valid 18 visa.
1.3 Pre-Upgrade Assessment
• Conduct a hardware and software compatibility assessment.
• Verify backup integrity and availability before initiating upgrades.
1.4 Execution
• Schedule and execute firmware upgrades as per agreed timing with end user. (These are new servers so no service impact)
• Ensure proper configuration and testing of server’s post-upgrade.
1.5 Post-Upgrade Validation
• Verify the success of the firmware upgrade.
• Test server functionality.
• Provide a detailed post-upgrade report for each server, including firmware version details and any issues encountered/resolved

2. Engineer Qualifications
2.1 Technical Expertise
• Proficient in Dell and HP server firmware upgrades.
• Familiarity with server environments in sensitive and secure locations.
2.2 Experience
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in server maintenance and upgrades.
• Previous experience working within MOD, MOI, or similarly secure organizations is preferred.
2.3 Certification/ On-Site Protocols
• Certifications such as Dell EMC Certified Specialist or HPE Accredited Technical Profession is added advantage.
• Adherence to all security protocols of MOI, MOD, and KFF while on-site.

4. Deliverables
4.1 Pre-Upgrade Report
• Compatibility and backup readiness assessment report.
4.2 Post-Upgrade Report
• Detailed report documenting firmware versions, server status, and any issues resolved.

5. Project Timeline
• Expected time per site: 3-4 days (20 servers per site) Total 4 sites.
