Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Roaster to lead our coffee roasting operations while also supporting and coordinating with our wholesale division. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical knowledge of coffee with a strong understanding of production efficiency, quality control, and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
🔥 Roasting Operations
Lead the day-to-day roasting operations, ensuring consistency in quality, profile development, and batch execution

Develop and maintain roast profiles based on cupping evaluations and customer preferences

Monitor green bean inventory and coordinate ordering with the procurement or purchasing team

Maintain roasting logs, batch records, and equipment maintenance schedules

Collaborate with QC team for regular cupping and sensory evaluations

📦 Wholesale Coordination
Oversee coffee production timelines to ensure wholesale orders are fulfilled accurately and on time

Work closely with the sales and logistics team to manage inventory and delivery schedules

Provide technical support and product education to wholesale clients as needed

Help prepare samples and contribute to product development tailored for wholesale partners

Ensure packaging, labelling, and storage follow quality and brand standards

🧾 Team & Operational Leadership
Train and manage roasting assistants or production team members

Contribute to strategic planning around new blends, seasonal offerings, and green coffee sourcing

Analyse production efficiency, yield, and costs to recommend improvements

Maintain high safety and cleanliness standards in the roasting facility

Collaborate cross-functionally with baristas, marketing, and sales teams

Requirements:
3–5 years of coffee roasting experience, including profile development and QC

Deep understanding of green coffee, roasting curves, and post-roast handling

Familiarity with roasting software (Crapser, Artisan, etc.)

Strong cupping and sensory evaluation skills

Basic understanding of B2B/wholesale logistics or willingness to learn

Comfortable working in a physically active role, lifting 20–25 kg bags

Excellent time management and attention to detail
