Job Summary:
A reputable private educational institution in Al Jahra, Kuwait, seeks a Student Counselor to join its Admissions & Student Services team. This role will guide prospective and current students, ensuring a smooth admissions process and assisting students with academic, career, and personal development needs.
This position requires proficiency in Malayalam to assist students and parents from diverse backgrounds effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Admissions Support: Guide prospective students through the admissions process, explaining program details, eligibility requirements, and financial aid options.
• Student Counseling: Provide academic, career, and personal counseling to students, ensuring they have the resources needed for success.
• Language-Specific Assistance: Assist students and parents who prefer Malayalam, ensuring clear communication about academic policies and services.
• Student Engagement: Organize and participate in student orientation, events, and workshops to enhance student experience and retention.
• Administrative Tasks: Maintain student records, track admissions inquiries, and support documentation processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, student affairs, and other departments to support student well-being and success.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Psychology, Counseling, Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Malayalam.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and faculty.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and support students from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in MS Office and student management systems is a plus.
• Social media savviness for content creation is a plus.
• Attention to detail is essential.
